One day, Jesus was traveling through the town of Bethsaida with his disciples. As they were walking, a group of people approached them. They had brought a blind man and asked Jesus to heal him. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town, away from the crowd.
When they were alone, Jesus spat on the man’s eyes and then laid his hands on him. He asked the man, “Do you see anything?” The man looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking around.” Jesus then laid his hands on the man’s eyes once more. This time, the man’s sight was completely restored. He could see clearly, and he was filled with joy and gratitude.
Jesus told the man, “Do not go back into the town. Do not tell anyone what has happened.” The man, overwhelmed with thankfulness, went his way, forever changed by the healing touch of Jesus. This miracle showed the power of Jesus to restore sight, not only to the blind but also to those who could not see the truth.
