One day, Jesus decided to go to Jerusalem. He sent two of his disciples ahead, telling them to bring a donkey and its colt that they would find tied up in a nearby village. The disciples did as Jesus said, and when they brought the animals back, Jesus sat on the colt. As they approached Jerusalem, a large crowd gathered. Some people spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from trees and spread them on the ground. The people shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” Jesus rode into Jerusalem like a king, but he was humble and gentle. The whole city was stirred, and the people asked, “Who is this?” The crowd answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
